Rowallan Membership,
                  a letter from Niall Campbell

I am writing to introduce a fabulous new golf club and course, which is under construction at Rowallan Castle. Scotland’s No.1 Golfer and Ryder Cup Captain Colin Montgomerie is designing the course, and Rowallan Castle is the first course Colin has designed in the British Isles. The setting for the club and the course is truly magnificent, and I would encourage you to come down to Rowallan Castle and take a look for yourself.

There is great excitement surrounding eight times European No 1 Colin Montgomerie’s involvement in the project. The course features Colin’s trademark pot bunkers, tricky undulating greens and a layout that requires careful course management to score well.
Rowallan Castle will stand for all that is good in golf. The four pillars of the ethos at Rowallan are:

Outstanding Quality – the course, the clubhouse and the surroundings of the Rowallan Castle Estate will all be developed and presented with to the highest level of quality.

Relaxed Luxury – the service and the experience at Rowallan Castle will all be about luxury, but in a very relaxed and informal atmosphere, so that members and visitors will always receive the best, but in a way that they will almost feel as if they are at home when they visit Rowallan Castle.

Environmental Sensitivity – the club and course are built on an estate full of great natural beauty and incredible historical heritage, and so the development and management of the Golf Club will always show incredible sensitivity to the magnificent surroundings of the Rowallan Castle Estate.

The club opened in Summer 2009 and the membership is limited to 600 but demand is sure to be high for such a unique golf course and location. The club is only 20 minutes drive from the centre of Glasgow.

The main Castle at Rowallan is being developed into a 5-star hotel, but the main function rooms are already complete, and so Rowallan castle Golf Club will be hosting a range of functions for potential members, including an exhibition of golf photographs and etchings and celebrity evenings.

Work is well advanced on the Practice Area which signed up members will soon be able to enjoy, with complimentary practice balls, and complimentary refreshments in the castle afterwards.
